So the heat in SoCal is killing me. I’ve had a non-stop headache for days as the oppressive heat and lack of central air just fuck with my body royally. It’s really gotten to the point where it’s painful and I just wanna lay in the bathtub and sob. Weather.com says it will start cooling today. Thus far, it doesn’t feel like it. It’s 7 am and it feels like all the other days in this heat wave. And my head is already pounding. Moving on to a more pleasant topic, Fire Season hit #3 on All Romance eBooks top ten list of bestsellers. I’m shocked and flattered....

Bullet Rider

So I have this guest blog post at a review site today. It’s title is Six With a Bullet. The reason for the title is that Fire Season is now #6 on All Romance eBook’s Top Ten List. This sort of equates to being the #6 most sold book at Barnes and Noble. ARe is one of the biggest distributors (e-bookstores) on the internet. Bad Database!

For three weeks now, I’ve been trying to move The Bar to a new domain.  For three weeks I’ve been beyond frustrated. First the upgrade from phpbb2 to phpbb3 sucked ass. Oh, everything converted. Everything is there. But one post, just one, ended up split from a thread. I have tried everything to merge it back, but the merge feature refuses to work. I tried copying the post and changing it’s permissions. That didn’t work and in fact spawned a new issue. It wouldn’t let me delete the damn post either! HELLO! Database creator here! Still… it refuses. I finally...

Himself Didn’t Work

Remember when people were retweeting Neil Gaiman’s call for people to help me find homes for the kittehs? Remember how so many people emailed and said they would take them? Do you know how many of those people actually did what they said they would do? None of them. Well, one person who said she would take one, ended up not being able to, but yanno… she found someone else who would. An author from Lyrical Press came and adopted the only female. So all of that frenzy was pretty much for naught and makes me wonder if those people just said those things thinking the great Neilhimself...
