Tour To Win

Short post this morning. I awoke with a gasp at 5:30 am realizing that I forgot I have to take Motley to school this morning and didn’t set the alarm for 5 am. We switched over to a new server on Saturday and I spent some time dealing with a few things over the weekend related to that. The big test is this morning when the full staff walks in and has to use it. So I need to hightail my ass into the office ASAP! Since I’m now short of time and need to run off to shower, I’m just gonna tell you about a chance to win a Sony eReader and other prizes in 1Romance Ebooks’ Birthday...

Ow! Ow! Ow!

I’m in menopause hell. Hence the OWs. I have a couple things to say and then I’m heading to my bed where a heating pad awaits. First of all, congratulations to FEDORA who is the big winner of my Morning After post over at Liquid Silver Books’ blog. Fedora wins all three of the Phoenix Prophecy books. Next, I have little bit of follow up on yesterday’s post. One of the VPs where I work (the one who read Shifting Winds and Hot Water) is a very smart lady (not just cause she read my books *wink*) and she gave me some info to pass along to those of you who are not married....

Blowing Smoke

Where There’s Smoke, Book Three of the Phoenix Prophecy, releases today and I am having a contest that starts tomorrow. Liquid Silver Books, the publisher of the Phoenix Prophecy, has a blog where authors do Morning After posts. Appropriate since the blog is called the SEx Blog. LOL So tomorrow (if my login gets fixed) I will be doing a Morning After post HERE. Every commenter on the post will be in a drawing to win all three books of the trilogy. The contest ends at 6 am Pacific time next Monday when I will draw a winner and announce it here on my regular Monday post. I seem to have been...

Catch and Release

That phrase is usually associated with fishing. However, it can be applied to people too. There are people whom you deliberately set out to snare and make part of your life. When the time comes that they no longer fit in that place, you release them.  And by snare, I don’t mean it in a bad way but rather like cultivate. You meet someone. You like them. So you foster the relationship whether it’s a love interest or someone you just want to be friends with. When things happen in your lives and you realize this person doesn’t belong in your part of the world anymore, you let them...

Awards? Contests!

For my birthday this year I’m giving away stuff. Today, you can win a copy of The Pixie Prince by going to Bitten By Books for their Bloody Halloween contest. The other two contests are being held for me by The Romance Studio and Coffeetime Romance and More. My two contests last the whole month until my birthday on Halloween. The prizes are probably my best prizes yet. Well, they are if you like my writing and you think that someday having one of my first autographs books might be of some value. LOL Here’s the info on the two month long contests: At TRS: Winner of the drawing will...

The Return of Marcus

He’s baaaaack! WOOT! Here’s a Marcus to brighten your Monday! I like a man with nice hands. *sigh* A couple quick things… First up, I still haven’t been able to restore my email and I know damn good and well all my blog reader appreciation winners didn’t get their prizes. *cough* Dave*cough* So please, if you were listed as a prize winner, EMAIL ME. Thank you. Next, I want to start a new Marcus Award contest but I don’t know what kind of contest it should be. So, leave me some suggestions why don’t you? I don’t wanna do comment whore again. LOL And...

Drumroll Please!

I has winnahs. Many winnahs. This was soooo much fun. Louie was asleep so he couldn’t pick a winner like last time. Last year for Blog Reader Appreciation Week, Motley drew a name out of a Dooney bag. This year, she just picked numbers and I looked to see whose comment was that number. So here are this year’s Blog Reader Appreciation Week winners! Winner of the Goodie Bag is Comment #22 DEBBY! Winner of the Snarkcoaster is Comment #33 KIMMY L! Winners of a book are Comments: # 25 – Del #1 – Maurya #15 – Christina Engels #2 – Trinity #6 – Val Pearson #16...

Ahem

Well, Blog Reader Appreciation week is over. No one sent me their snail mail addy for bookmarks! *gasp* Okay, so I guess that wasn’t the best pressie. Anyway, Motley (Nikki) will be asking Louie Licker for some assistance tonight and they will draw the winners of each item. I’ll post them Tuesday or Wednesday.  I sincerely appreciate all of you who participated! Now, on for some Monday YUM. I joined a new Yahoo group yesterday and they were a lot of fun. But I woke up to find apologies all over the group because someone had been offended. I couldn’t for the life of me figure...

For You!

I had a few whacky ideas for this year’s Blog Reader Appreciation week. None of them really went beyond a crazed notion in my head that elicited a few snicker snorts from me as I worked yesterday. However, I do want you to know that I appreciate you despite the fact that I don’t post as much as I used to. This has been a rough year for me, trying to do the author thing while still juggling all the other things that I do. At one time or another, all my favorite things have gotten shuffled to the side for my writing. I’ve just come to accept that sometimes that is just going to...

I Won?

It seems that I did. I entered a short story in a contest for a cover and it turned in the highest score which makes me the winner. It’s kind of funny really because I had a story for this contest, but my critique partners tore it to pieces. That meant I needed to take the story apart and put it back together again. Fearing that I wouldn’t have that done in time to submit the story for the contest, I wrote a ‘companion’ story. The first story, Runaways, is about a werewolf who meets his mate on a train from Prague to Paris. The werewolf has a twin brother who is the head...

OT+TVC+MM

They’re here! Yes, the first two books in the Tales of the Darkworld series came out last Thursday the 5th. I didn’t blog about it because I have been in OT hell. The day job was ruthless last week and I’m still exhausted. Deadline on top of deadline just wrung every ounce of energy from me. I’m still not done with month end functions and I’m truly crossed eyed with exhaustion.  When the alarm went off this morning at 6 – and I went to bed at an hour that is early for me – I just wanted to roll over and sleep for 4 more hours. I’m currently sitting...

Train Wreck Winners

Thank you to everyone who came to Jester’s show last week when I was on. I very much appreciate the support. Unfortunately, with the room scrolling by and my kid’s messy writing, we’re not sure exactly WHO the winner from the show was. It’s either Catherine or Cissa, and I truthfully do not remember who all was in the chat beyond Marty, Hilly, Dave, Howard, and Karl. That’s because they either called in or we talked about them. Motley has a name written down that starts with a C. To me it looks kinda like Cathy or Catherine, but it could be Cissa. So Catherine and...
