Wandering Minds

This morning I have a bit of a wandering mind. I can’t really focus but then again, it’s not even 6 am yet. Excuses aside, I suppose the wandering is in part because there’s lots of stuff going on in my world and not because Zombies Ate My Brains. (I love that t-shirt! Go buy one from Dave2! It’s perfect for Halloween.) I don’t know what it is about the end of the year that sends me into a frenzy when it comes to writing. Perhaps it’s because I got my first contract in October, on the 30th, the day before my birthday. I have so many projects I’m working...

Rock N Mock

Before I show you a Jimmy on this lovely Thursday before a four day weekend for me…I have news! I have a release date for my Ellora’s Cave book Rock My World. If you like, you can click the linky and go see it’s page. It feels pretty freaking odd to see my pen name up on that site. And if you can’t tell…I’m decidedly nervous about my debut there. I’m worried about doing well. I’m having…performance anxiety! Well, before I chew my nails to nubs, let me get you a glorious Jimmy. This cover is a mockup. See the watermarks? I haven’t had time...

Cowgirls Need Jimmy Too

Yes, moron that I am, I forgot to post last week on Thursday. Blame it on my deadline. But my editor LOVES the heroes of Afterburner so I think I may have redeemed myself. This week I have a brand new Jimmy Thomas cover for you. It’s for my next Christmas Cowboys short story. Those of you who know my work know that this series started with Elle and Riley in Christmas Hookup who meet in a parking lot at a holiday class reunion.  It’s not Elle’s class, she’s a couple years older, but she’d been dragged there by her childhood friend Anne-Marie who had heard that her...

Not Mine, Still Hot

This cover is not mine. It’s still tres hawt. AND it’s a Jimmy Thomas cover which means it’s Thursday! Where the heck did the week go? I’m off tomorrow, taking a vacay day. Gonna write my fingers to the bone on Afterburner. Before I leave you looking at this very hot cover let me tell you that the story inside is very hot too! And it’s a great story! Brought tears to my eyes and you all know what that means…I LOVED IT! Go get it. Read it. Smile. Laugh. Fan yourself profusely. And maybe shed a tear or two. Regina done good with this one! And YAY for Jimmy on the...

JT in the Morning

Yes, a little Jimmy Thomas in the morning to make your day go much smoother. I’m posting the cover for Hand of Fate, a holiday story coming from Passion in Print Press by my friend Lisa Alexander-Griffin, who loves having Jimmy on her covers. The cover artist is Winterheart Design (aka me.) I’ll be back next Thursday with another Jimmy cover or photo. Until then, enjoy!  »View More

I Would Like to Thank…

It’s official. I am now an award winning author! Ride the Lightning placed 3rd in the erotica category of the 2010 Lories Contest put on by the From the Heart Romance Writers chapter of the Romance Writer’s of America. This is a really thrilling milestone in my career and I’m so excited that it happened with this story. I thought for sure it would have been the oh so popular Fire Season, but nope. My poor little red dragon with her abused past brought this one home. And I couldn’t be more proud of her!  I don’t have my badge for my website yet. That’s forthcoming...

Blowing Smoke

Where There’s Smoke, Book Three of the Phoenix Prophecy, releases today and I am having a contest that starts tomorrow. Liquid Silver Books, the publisher of the Phoenix Prophecy, has a blog where authors do Morning After posts. Appropriate since the blog is called the SEx Blog. LOL So tomorrow (if my login gets fixed) I will be doing a Morning After post HERE. Every commenter on the post will be in a drawing to win all three books of the trilogy. The contest ends at 6 am Pacific time next Monday when I will draw a winner and announce it here on my regular Monday post. I seem to have been...

The Thing About Love

Later this week, on the 7th, I’ll be over at Cindy Jacks’s blog talking about love.  It’s February, so people tend to wanna talk about those tender emotions.  I write about them all the time because my books and stories always have a happy ending.  I’m the kind of person who has to have a HEA (happily ever after.) Or some sort of happy ending at any rate. I don’t want to read about the angst without having it all work itself out, handing the hero and heroine a reward. In real life, things don’t always work out that way. In my life, the angst has always outweighed...

I Stand in Awe

Thanks to Mina Carter who has no problems asking for what she wants, I have a new cover by the most sought after cover artist around. The buzz is that if you have an Anne Cain cover your sales will soar. I don’t know how true that is, but I’m about to find out. My latest contract with Liquid Silver Books has garnered me a cover I completely adore. And I stand in awe of this artist’s talent.  I can’t even describe how hot this cover is so I’m just gonna post it and let you all drool. My Marcus for today seems nearly eclipsed by the beauty of that cover. Except that...
